また、港区では、震災時の家具転倒等による被害を最小限に抑えることを目的として、家具転倒防止器具等を無償で支給しています。対象は、港区内に居住し、住民登録や外国人登録をしている世帯で、助成は一世帯につき１回限りです。家具転倒防止器具やガラス飛散防止フィルム等を現物助成します。
「家具転倒防止器具等助成申請書」に必要事項を記入し、各総合支所協働推進課活動推進係に申請してください。

In case of an earthquake or other disaster, you will be provided with essential information from Minato City, such as evacuation routes and damage information on this channel. Please tune in to this channel when a great earthquake or other disaster occurs.
Minato City provides disaster prevention devices for free, in order to minimize the damage from disaster events. Households with resident registration or foreign registration who are living in Minato City are eligible. You can use this service one time and you will receive the devices directly, which include shatter-proof film for glass, as well as furniture stabilizing devices.
Please fill out the application form for Falling Furniture Prevention Equipment and apply at the Activities Promotion Subsection of the Community Activities Promotion Section in each regional City Office.

Minato City is looking for international participants in its meetings for improving local administrative services. The themes of the meetings are planned to be “International Residents’ Participation in Local Community Activities” and “Disaster Prevention”. The meetings will be held in both English and Japanese, so please don’t hesitate to join this project and share your opinions with us.
Those eligible to apply are individuals who are non-Japanese, living or working in Minato City, and able to attend all of the three meetings. The meetings will take place in June, October, and January, from six p.m. to eight p.m. at the Minato City Office’s conference room.

Minato City subsidizes households with special circumstances, paying due consideration to the financial burden of raising children during the period of early childhood education. You are eligible for this subsidy if you are a head of a household which includes two or more children under the age of nineteen as of February 1st 2009 and at least one child born between April 2nd 2002 and April 1st 2005. Those who are expected to be eligible for the subsidy should have received the application form which was mailed starting March 30th. If you are eligible and have not received the application, please inform the Children’s Benefit Subsection of the Child Affairs Section.
The following documents will be required for the application:
1. The application form for the Child-rearing Support Benefit
2. A photocopy of a document identifying the applicant such as his or her driver’s license, passport, the Basic Resident Register card, health insurance card, or foreign registration card. Only one form of identification is necessary.
3. A photocopy of a document to clarify the applicant’s bank account such as a bankbook or a cash card.
4. A photocopy of foreign registration cards of the head of household and children if the applicant is non-Japanese.
Questions can be directed to the Children’s Benefit Subsection of the Child Affairs Section at 3578－2111 ext. 2430 thru 2433.

Minato City will carry out distribution of the Fixed Sum Benefit. Citizens who are registered on the Basic Resident Register or the Foreign Resident Register as of February 1st 2009 are eligible to receive this benefit. Temporary visitors and illegal residents are ineligible.
Application forms will be mailed to you starting Monday April 6th.
Applications will be accepted starting Tuesday, April 7th.
To complete your application you will be required to submit followings:
First, the application form.
Second, A photocopy of a document identifying you, such as your driver’s license, passport, the Basic Resident Register card, health insurance card, or foreign registration card. You need a photocopy of only one piece of identification.
